Armed robberies reported in West Town, Humboldt Park

Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies last month in West Town and Humboldt Park on the West Side.

In each case, two men have approached victims, pulled out a handgun and demanded the victims’ cell phones, wallets and, in once instance, a vehicle, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The hold-ups occurred on the following dates:

  • About 11:15 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 800 block of North Campbell Avenue;
  • About 5:50 a.m. Jan. 28 in the 2700 block of West Fulton Street;
  • About 10:40 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 800 block of North Sacramento Boulevard; and
  • About 3 a.m. Jan. 13 in the 2700 block of West Fulton.

The suspects were described as two men between 30 and 35 years old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, police said.
