
Police are warning Garfield Park residents about two armed robberies that happened in the same block last month.
In each case, the suspect approached someone, brandished a handgun or knife, and demanded and took property before running off, Chicago police said.
Both robberies took place in the 4000 block of West Lake Street, police said. One was at 4:50 a.m. Nov. 15, and the other was at 11 a.m. Nov. 30.
The suspect is described as a man 40 to 50-years-old standing 6-foot to 6-foot-3 and weighing 150 to 125 pounds, police said.
