Armed robberies reported in River North

Two armed robberies were reported in May in River North. | Sun-Times file photo

Chicago Police have issued an alert about two armed robberies last week in River North on the Near North Side.

In each incident, someone was sitting in their parked car when someone got in, pulled out a gun and robbed them, Chicago police said. The person fled in a black SUV or a blue sedan.

The robberies happened in the early morning hours of May 26 in the 100 block of West Superior Street, and May 28 in the 400 block of West Oak Street, police said.

Police believe two males are involved.
