Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies since last week in Bronzeville on the South Side.

In each case, one or two men approached victims and robbed them using black or silver semiautomatic handguns, according to Chicago police.

The first hold-up occurred about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the 300 block of East 48th Street, police said. The next happened about 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 300 block of East 48th Street. The third was reported about midnight Dec. 23 in the 400 block of East 40th Street.

The suspects were described as two men between 18 and 30 years old, police said. In one case, they were seen in a royal blue four-door sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
