Two of the robberies happened within the 6400 block of South Fairfield Avenue.

Police warn Chicago Lawn residents to remain vigilant after three reported armed robberies in recent weeks.

Police are warning Chicago Lawn residents of three armed robberies reported in May on the Southwest Side.

In each incident, a male approached someone, flashed a gun and demanded property, according to an alert from Chicago police.

The first robbery happened about 8:47 p.m. May 1 in the 2800 block of West 63rd Street, police said. Two others occurred in the 6400 block of South Fairfield Avenue. One about 4:31 p.m. May 7 and another about 2:30 a.m. May 12.

The suspect is described as 20 to 24 years old, 5-foot-7 to 6-feet tall and weighing 140 to 180 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information about these burglaries should call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
