Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies this month in Ravenswood on the North Side.
In each case, a man approached victims on the street at night and took their property at gunpoint, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The hold-ups occurred:
- About 9:30 p.m. May 5 in the 4500 block of North Campbell Avenue;
- At 9:59 p.m. May 5 in the 2000 block of West Eastwood Avenue; and
- About 7 p.m. May 6 in the 4500 block of North Leavitt Avenue.
The suspect was described as a man between 25 and 30 years old, standing 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-4 and weighing 157 to 210 pounds, police said.
