Armed robber 'dragged victim along ground' before stealing cash

A man was dragged along the ground by a knife-wielding thug in a street robbery last night.

Police are investigating reports cash was taken in the attack, which started when the offender climbed into the victim's vehicle.

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident, which happened in the Northwood area of Kirkby.

Police were called to the Bigdale Drive area at 9.20pm on Wednesday following reports of a robbery.

A man in his 30s reported another male, believed to have been armed with a blade, had entered his car and demanded cash.

The driver tried to get out of his vehicle but fell while doing so, dropping money.

It was reported the male dragged the victim along the floor before taking the cash and fleeing the scene.
