Armed reserve constable kills wife’s paramour in Andhra Pradesh

VIJAYAWADA: An armed reserve constable allegedly thrashed a man to death for having illicit relationship with his wife.

The incident took place at Ayyappanagar area under Patamata police limits in the city on Wednesday. The police have identified the deceased as Mukku Venkatesh (23), an ice-cream vendor from Machilipatnam.

According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday aftrernoon when the constable, Siva Nagaraju, got information that Venkatesh had come to his house. His landlord Ratna Sai passed on the information to Siva, who was on duty. Siva rushed to home and caught his wife and Venkatesh in a compromising position. In a fit of rage, Nagaraju thrashed Venkatesh using rods inflicting grievous injuries on him.

Locals dialled 108 ambulance service and Venkatesh was rushed to Vijayawada Government General Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

A case has been registered against Nagaraju and Ratna Sai under Section 302 of IPC (murder).
