Armed police swooped on a park in Swansea after reports of a man brandishing a weapon.
Emergency services, including armed officers from South Wales Police, along with the Welsh Ambulance Service attended Pentretreharne Hill, and nearby Montana Park after receiving the reports from a concerned member of the public.
A significant police presence blocked off the surrounding area and entrances to the park whilst they dealt with the incident, which resulted in the arrest of a man at the scene.
But the force say he was later released and that there is no further action to be taken.
They were also unable to recover the reported weapon.
A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a man in the street in Pentretreharne Hill with a potential weapon at about 4.25pm on June 21.
"Officers included armed officers attended.
"A man was arrested and released with no further action being taken. No weapon was recovered."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman added: “We were called to attend an address in Landore, Swansea at approximately 3.45pm on Sunday, June 21.
"We responded to the scene with one emergency ambulance where we were stood down by colleagues in the police. Nobody required medical treatment or transport.”
