Armed police are in attendance at an "ongoing incident" in Glasgow's Milton area.
An officer from Police Scotland with a weapon has been spotted outside a home in Cathay Street.
Cops were called to the scene shortly before 11.30am following reports of a ' firearms incident' within the property.
A police source said: "The call came in regarding an incident within the property regarding a firearm."
One local said: "They came screeching into the street this morning. It's all a bit frightening especially with everyone on edge as it is."
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a man has been arrested on firearms
charges following an incident in the Milton area of Glasgow this morning.
"A report is to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
