Armed police descended on a residential street after reports someone was carrying a large knife.
Witnesses said the officers turned up to Sutton Way, in Ellesmere Port, at around 5.15pm yesterday, on Thursday, July 22.
Officers armed with guns were seen patrolling the area for some time, Cheshire Live reports.

Later, at around 6.15pm, an eyewitness said they saw police gathering evidence and putting it into bags.
Police said that they were responding to reports of someone carrying a 'large knife' however they are yet to find the suspect.

A spokesperson for Cheshire said: "We had reports of someone carrying a large knife on Sutton Way and due to this armed police were deployed.
"They made searches of the area, but are yet to locate the suspect and we are making further enquiries."
Two people near the scene were arrested for drug offences, however police believe this was unrelated to this incident.
