Armed police stormed a street as a gang carrying guns entered a home.
Merseyside Police were called at Olivia Street in Bootle just after 11pm on Wednesday, May 11, following reports a group of men carrying guns were seen entering a home. Armed police arrived and arrested a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man from Bootle on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
They were also arrested on suspicion possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and theft of a motor vehicle after officers searched the address and found a quantity of drugs and a suspected stolen e-scooter.

Detective Inspector James Halpin said: "Although we have made two arrests an investigation remains underway as we continue our enquiries into this incident. If you have any information about this incident or where guns and drugs are being stored in your community please contact police so we can continue to take the necessary actions."
