Armed police seal off street in Scots town as officers deal with ongoing incident

Armed police have sealed off a street in Arbroath as they deal with an ongoing incident. Police were called to Keptie Street in the Angus town just before 1.30pm on Sunday, November 20.

A spokesperson for the force confirmed officers were at the scene as they deal with reports of concern for a person.

The street has been sealed off by officers since around 3pm, with fire and ambulance crews also in attendance.

Images from the scene show a police cordon erected with dozens of emergency vehicles and armed police surrounding the building, which is near Angus College.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police are dealing with a concern for person incident and officers are at the scene."
