Armed police race to ongoing incident near Scots football stadium

Armed police have raced to a Scots football park amid reports of a disturbance involving two men.

There is currently a large police presence near the Raith Rovers' football ground in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

Officers have been spotted standing outside of Stark's Park on Links Street as numerous police cars line the road.

Armed officers were photographed wearing protective gear and carrying firearms outside of the stadium.

Cops confirmed they were in attendance at Links Street after a disturbance involving two men was reported at 7.10pm tonight.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance at Links Street in Kirkcaldy following a disturbance involving two men which was reported to police at 7.10pm.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
