A man has been arrested following an armed police response incident in Perth.
Campsie Road in the city was first taped off in the early hours of Saturday morning with multiple emergency services in attendance.
Police were alerted at 5.45am this morning following reports of "concern for a person" at a property on the road.
The incident was ongoing for more than six hours and concluded at 11.50am.
A 41-year-old male has now been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police Scotland previously told the Record that armed police were assisting local officers as a "precaution" and there was no risk to the wider public.
They have now confirmed that no firearm was discharged.
A Police spokesperson said: "Around 5.45 am this morning, Sat 30 April, 2022, police attended a concern for person call at an address in Campsie Road, Perth.
"As a precaution, local officers were assisted by armed officers at the incident which concluded at 11.50 am. No firearm was discharged.
“A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing."
