Armed police and a helicopter are currently at the scene of an ongoing incident in Glasgow.
Police received a report of a man in possession of what appeared to be a weapon in the Toryglen area of the city around 10am on Wednesday July 7.
Residents in the south side of the city first heard a police helicopter around 10.45am this morning.
Cops are thought to have been near to Orchard Grove Kindergarten and Southside Boxing Summer Camp, and there remains a high police presence in the Prospecthill Circus area of Toryglen.
A video on social media appears to show armed officers swarming the scene.
Officers at the scene are providing reassurance to the local communicty.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10am on Wednesday, 7 July, we received a report of a man in possession of what appeared to be a weapon in the Prospecthill Circus area of Glasgow.
“Officers are in attendance carrying out enquiries and providing reassurance to the community.
"Anyone who may have been in the area and saw anything which might help with enquiries is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0825 of 7 July.”
Orchard Grove Kindergarten has also been approached for a statement.
