Armed police surrounded a house in a second incident to take place on the same street in a matter of hours.
Merseyside Police surrounded the property, a home that was transformed into a number of flats, on Grey Road, Walton, at around 1.30pm on Thursday, March 2. A cordon was put in place between Highfield Road and Barton Road as around eight armed officers started to enter the home.
There was a huge emergency response at the scene with two marked patrol cars, three Matrix vehicles, a police dog unit and undercover cars. Armed officers were seen picking up riot shields before entering the home.

People who were arriving at the cordon with their children they had picked up from school were told they could not enter the cordon while the incident was ongoing. Police were unable to confirm the nature of the incident to the ECHO.
The cordon was lifted at around 4.15pm with two patrol cars and a police Matrix van remaining at the scene. One man who lives on the road said this was the second time police had been on the street in 24 hours.
He said: "I've lived here for 12 years and it used to be good, but it's getting worse again.
"When I first moved here it was bad, then it got really bad and then the drugs moved in and police came and it sorted itself out and it's been fantastic. These last couple of days have been crazy."
Another woman said: "We have been having all sorts of issues here over the last few weeks, we need to come together and get something sorted really."
The ECHO understands there's no wider threat to the community in regard to Thursday's incident.
