Armed police stormed a block of flats at Glasgow Harbour last night following reports of gunfire - to find three men firing paintball guns.
Police rushed to the scene of the incident around 8pm last night after receiving a report from a concerned local of men firing a gun on a balcony at Harbour Terraces.
Specialist firearms officers were also in attendance.
Enquires were carried out to establish the circumstances and three men, one aged 21 and two aged 22, were spoken to by officers.
Police confirm that paintball guns were seized and will be forensically examined.
No one was injured in the incident and enquires are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of men firing a gun on a balcony at Harbour Terraces, Glasgow, around 8pm on Thursday, 9 July, 2020.
"Officers attended, including specialist firearms officers, and enquiries were carried out to establish the circumstances.
"Three men - aged 21, 22 and 22 - were spoken to. Paintball guns were seized and will be forensically examined. Nobody was injured and enquiries are ongoing."
