Armed police called to an address in Swansea

Armed police officers were called out to an address in Swansea on Friday and a road was closed off for a period of time.

Officers from South Wales Police's armed unit were called to Birchgrove Road on Friday, June 12, and a warrant executed.

Images taken nearby in Clydach show at least three armed police officers and two police cars present, while one individual was pictured in handcuffs.

Police have confirmed a vehicle in this area where the pictures were taken, on High Street, Clydach, were linked to the warrant.

A spokesperson from South Wales Police said: "[On Friday] morning a warrant was executed at an address on Birchgrove Road, Swansea.

"A number of officers, including firearms officers, were in attendance and the road was closed for a short time.

"No arrests were made."
