Armed response cops have been spotted at an Edinburgh high-rise after reports of a potential firearm inside one of the flats.
Officers descended on Marytree House on Craigour Green at around 12.25pm on Tuesday, October 22.
Police Scotland remain on the scene as investigations into the firearm report continues.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police in Edinburgh were called to a property in the Craigour Green area at around 12.25pm on Tuesday, October 22 following a report that a potential firearm was within a property.
"Inquiries are ongoing. Officers remain at the scene and there is no wider threat to the public."
