Armed police and ambulance crews seen by Birmingham McDonald's as area cordoned off

Armed police and ambulance crews were called to an incident near a McDonald's restaurant.

Emergency services descended on the fast food restaurant in Birmingham at around 4pm.

Pictures taken at the scene by an eyewitness show the McDonald's car park cordoned off as well as at least two ambulances and several police cars.

BirminghamLive said West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service had been contacted for further details.

Several police officers and ambulance crews were called to an incident near a McDonald's in Kitts Green this afternoon.

One witness, who saw the huge police presence, told BirminghamLive: "There were many police cars, including armed police, two ambulances and paramedics.

"There was a small, cordoned off area within the McDonalds car park with a red motorbike on the floor."

West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for further details.
