Armed Greater Manchester Police officers are at the scene of an incident in Salford tonight amid reports of shots being fired.
Images show a large cordon around the Brackenhurst Drive area of Salford, on the border with Cheetham Hill.
A number of eyewitnesses at the scene have described hearing four loud gunshots earlier this evening.

Greater Manchester Police are yet to confirm details of the incident or if anyone was injured.
A large cordon remains in place and eyewitnesses say at least one male was taken from the scene in an ambulance.
The police response was seen on the border of Cheetham Hill where an ongoing gang war has resulted in a number of incidents in recent months.
A dispute between two crime gangs in the district has erupted with four shootings and a vicious machete attack in the last four weeks.

Surrounding areas, like Crumpsall, and Higher Broughton in Salford are also seeing the fallout of a renewed conflict.
The warring is over who supplies heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis in the district.
It is not known whether tonight's incident relates to the ongoing violence in the area.
