Armed mugging outside Spar in Dundee as man robbed of cash at knife point

Cops are appealing for information after a man was robbed of cash at knife point outside a Scots shop.

The victim was targeted as he sat on a bench opposite a Spar in Dundee.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery, which occurred in the city's Hilltown area at around 1.20pm on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

He was threatened by a man with a knife and a sum of money was stolen.

Two men aged 35 and 31, have been arrested by officers in Dundee in connection with the incident and have been released pending further enquiries.

Constable Mark Stewart, of Tayside Division's Community Investigation Unit, said: "Thankfully nobody was injured in the incident but this was a frightening experience for the victim.

"Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who was in the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact police as soon as they can."
