An armed man threatened staff in a terrifying attempted robbery in a quiet village yesterday evening.
The incident happened at a premises in Clonmany, Co Donegal at around 5pm on Wednesday.
Officers said a man entered the building and threatened staff with what is understood to be a firearm.
The man then fled the scene on foot a short time later, and is still at large.
Gardai said nobody was injured in the incident and no items were taken in the attempted raid.
A garda spokesman added: "No arrests have been made to date. Investigations are ongoing."
