Armed man robs Citibank in Brookfield

An armed man robbed a bank Tuesday in west suburban Brookfield.

He entered a Citibank branch at 10:11 a.m. at 9009 Ogden Ave., demanded cash and made threats, according to the FBI. The man left with an unspecified amount of money.

The FBI released photos of a 6-foot-2 suspect pointing a handgun and carrying a duffel bag. The man, who is in his 20s or 30s, should be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI said.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with tips is asked to call the FBI’s Chicago field office at 312-421-6700.
