Armed Gardai blitzed a whopping 10 properties in Offaly today in a drug raid that saw three people arrested and cocaine and cannabis seized.
The search operation involved Gardai across several different departments and resulted in the arrests of three men aged 49, 33 and 36.
The raids came as part of an ongoing operation designed to target criminality and anti-social behaviour in Tullamore Town.
Gardai from the Armed Support Unit, Garda Dog Unit, Air Support unit, Laois/Offaly Drugs Units and District Detective unit – as well as regular units in Tullamore – joined in the searches.
Officers seized a number of "offensive" weapons and tools, as well as cocaine and cannabis with an estimated value of €1,400.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Three males aged 49, 33 and 36 years were arrested following the searches and detained at Tullamore Garda station.
"They have since been charged to appear before upcoming sittings of the District Court."
Investigations are ongoing, the spokesperson added.
