The group were able to flee the scene using the two stolen cars.

The cars taken by the gang include a: Hyundai i40 dark grey in colour with the registration 151-D-29176 and a Volkswagen Golf black in colour with the reg 141-D-16929.

All of the items stolen were taken from the kitchen.

A spokeswoman for Gardai said: "We are investigating a burglary incident which occurred in the Palmerstown area, Dublin 20 today 28 January 2020 in the early hours of the morning.

"A small amount of criminal damage was caused to the domestic premises and property was also taken from the premises."
