Armed gang caught slicing iPads and laptops from Currys PC World walls as staff look on

This is the terrifying moment a gang of young men storm a branch of Currys PC World and rip thousands of pounds worth of electrical equipment from display stands.

Shocking footage recorded by a member of public shows the men yanking products from the walls at the branch in Springvale Retail Park, Orpington.

The men, who appear to be in their late teens or early 20s, then head for the doors holding bundles of phones and laptops.

At one point, one of them screams that he will kill anyone who tries to stop them.

Dazed staff can be seen standing around unable to prevent the gang walking out with thousands of pounds worth of goods.

And even more surprisingly, the young men make no attempt to disguise their faces whatsoever - with one not even bothering to pull up the hood on his coat.

The robbery is believed to have taken place on Wednesday night.

A video shared on Facebook said: “Orpington Currys earlier today - so brazen, really upsets me all the aggression and how unsafe we really are from our own kind.

“The guy even threatened to kill someone, no value for life. If anyone knows these people, contact the police.”

One of the men in the footage, seen wearing a green tracksuit, is seen using force to remove the goods from their stands.

Despite wearing a hoodie, he makes no attempt at hiding his face.

While a second man, who looks younger, is then seen carrying a stolen laptop with a wire hanging out of it.

The two then make their way to another stand full of goods while a Curry’s staff member can be seen in the background with his lanyard hanging around his neck.

A third accomplice is then spotted at the end of the video making for the doors with his hood up.

Those who saw the footage said they were gobsmacked by it.

One said: “I can’t believe this! It’s terrible.”

Another added: “Good god. I’d be petrified in there.”
