'Armed' gang brutally assault two men outside North Dublin pub

A gang armed with hammers and knuckledusters attacked two men outside a pub in North Dublin.

Two men were taken to hospital following the incident in the car park of the Racecourse Inn pub in Baldoyle.

The gang of young men are understood to have jumped out a car and attacked the two men at around 1.30am.

There has been no arrests made in relation to the incident.

The car park of the pub was cordoned off this morning with gardai present at the scene.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí responded to a reported of assault near the Grange Road in Baldoyle , Co Dublin this morning, October 24, 2021. The incident is believed to have occurred at approximately 1.30am.

"Two men (40s) were later taken to Beaumont Hospital where they received treatment for non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made. Investigations ongoing."
