Armed Forces personnel and NHS staff are being offered a 50 per cent discount at a UK restaurant chain to celebrate Christmas.
UK sushi bar chain YO! will be offering a massive discount this year to the unsung heroes of the public services as "a gesture to say thank you to those who give so much day-in and day-out.''
The 50 per cent discount is extended from the existing discount of 20% offered to any NHS, emergency services or Armed Forces blue card holder.
A YO! spokesman said: "Whilst thousands of individuals across the UK find themselves in the comfort of their homes during the festive period, many Blue Light Workers and those in the Armed Forces will spend their Christmas putting the lives of others first."
The deal will be in force around the Christmas period to spread festive cheer to everyone from December 20, 2019 to December 31, 2019 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

In order to receive the discount, customers need to visit the Blue Light website or Defence Discount Service to secure a code, which needs to be shown to a YO! member of staff when paying the bill. The code is also available on the Blue Light or Defence Discount Service app.
