Whether they were fresh-faced kids or battle-hardened veterans, young and old alike celebrated Armed Forces Day in Manchester city centre.

More than 300 events were held across the country and in Greater Manchester including a Red Arrows flypast over Salisbury Cathedral.

In its 11th year, it aims to show support for those who served the nation and their families.
