Cops with guns have been spotted in a Scots town amid a reported on-going incident.
Officers wearing riot gear and holding firearms appeared on social media, allegedly taken in Queens Crescent, Livingston's Eliburn, this morning.
Other images appear to show helicopters circling above the area.
It is unclear the exact reason for the officers being there, however locals have posted unconfirmed reports of a man with a gun.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are in attendance in the Queen's Crescent area of Livingston in connection with an ongoing investigation.
"There is no wider risk to the public."
