Armed cops swoop on Scots housing estate as man charged following disturbance

A man has been arrested and charged after armed police stormed a Scots housing estate following reports of a disturbance in Falkirk.

Officers from Police Scotland, ambulance crews and an armed response team raced to a property on Little Denny Road in Denny at around 5:15pm on June, 14.

Cops have now launched a probe into the incident and confirmed that a 29-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear in Falkirk Sheriff Court today.

Officers say that nobody was injured and no weapons were discovered as a result of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.15pm on Wednesday, 14 June, 2023, we were called to a report of a disturbance within a property in Little Denny Road, Denny.

"No one was injured and no weapon was recovered.

“A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and he is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday, 15 June, 2023

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
