Armed cops swooped on a Glasgow street amid a 'disturbance' as a man was arrested.

Officers with guns, fire crews and paramedics raced to the scene on Tallant Road after the alarm was raised at around 2.30pm on Monday September 27.

Police confirmed a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Nobody was injured.

Pictures from the scene show police with firearms on the scene in the Drumchapel area of the city.

Further images taken by a local eyewitness show dozens of residents waiting in the taped-off street, with video footage shared on social media showing armed officers in the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live : “Around 2.30pm on Monday, 27 September, officers attended a property on Tallant Road in Glasgow following the report of a disturbance.

“A 30-year-old man has been arrested, no one was injured during the incident.”
