Armed police have descended on a Midlothian industrial estate as part of an investigation into organised crime.
One man has been arrested and inquiries are ongoing following the dramatic operation at the Poltonhall estate, near Bonnyrigg this morning.
Police Scotland have confirmed they also searched a house in Pinkie Drive, Mussleburgh.
A spokesman told Edinburgh Live: "Police Scotland executed search warrants at a home in Pinkie Drive, Musselburgh and at the Poltonhall Industrial Estate in Midlothian on Tuesday May 7 as part of an ongoing organised crime investigation.
"Local officers were supported by specialist resources and one man has been arrested.
"Inquiries at both addresses are continuing."

An eyewitness who lives close to the industrial estate said: "I've been watching the police vans going in this morning.
"I'm not surprised. I walk my dog round there and people are coming and going from the estate at all times of the day and night."
One worker at the unit, who does not wish to be named, said: "We haven't been told what's happening but this is the second time the police have been here recently."
