Armed police have been responding to an incident at an Aberdeen property for more than eight hours.
Police were called to the incident at an address in the city’s Great Western Road around noon on Thursday and are still in attendance. This is following reports of a 'concern for person'.
Pictures from the scene, shared on social media this evening, show a number of armed officers outside the building concerned with the area taped off.
One passer-by told the Record: “There were police dogs as well as armed police, and an ambulance too."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12 noon on Thursday, 28 October, to a report of a concern for a person within an address on Great Western Road, Aberdeen.
“Officers are in attendance and there is no threat to the wider public.”
