Armed carjackers strike in Logan Square, Albany Park

Police are warning residents about a pair of armed carjackings since last weekend in Logan Square and Albany Park on the Northwest Side.

In each case, two or three males approached a victim while armed with handguns and stole a car, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The most recent carjacking happened about 9:15 p.m. Monday in the 3400 block of West Montrose Avenue, police said. The other happened about 5:45 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 3600 block of West Schubert Avenue.

The suspects are between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and weigh about 140 pounds, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
