Armand Gnanduillet wanted by Salford as Hearts striker looks for new club

Salford could make a move to sign Hearts striker Armand Gnanduillet in January, according to a report.

The striker is being allowed to leave Tynecastle if a good offer comes in with Robbie Neilson preferring other options.

He’s out of contract in the summer and Hearts are happy to let him go on loan or on a permanent deal.

The Edinburgh Evening News report Salford want to take him to England’s League Two.

Gary Bowyer is in charge at the Class of 92 backed club and was also Gnanduillet’s manager at Blackpool.

It now looks like the Frenchman has played his last game for the club and will move on before Hearts return after the winter break.

Gnanduillet has played 29 times for the club so far this season and scored six goals, but just one of those has come this season.

He has started just three games this campaign despite injuries to Liam Boyce and Neilson explained earlier this month why that was the case.

He said: “I felt that if I went with Gnanduillet it would become a physical battle against their centre halves and that’s what they want.

“Any movement down the sides and in behind them causes them problems, so that was the reason we went with the three and tried to rotate them.”
