Armadale Primary School’s basketball team have been crowned Edinburgh and Lothians Schools Champions for the first time.

They defeated top teams from Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and the Borders to scoop the trophy.

Armadale were victorious in a series of games against local schools to be emerge as West Lothian champions earlier this year, with Livingston Village Primary School as runners-up.

Both teams went forward to the Edinburgh and Lothians Final, with Armadale finishing victorious and Livingston Village finishing third.

Armadale Primary’s Acting Principal Teacher Mark Wheelhouse said: “We are so proud of each of them and are delighted with the way they conducted themselves on the day. They acted as fantastic ambassadors for Armadale Primary School and West Lothian as a whole.”
