Armadale Devils set for home return after 15 year absence

Team speedway returns to Armadale Stadium tonight for the first time since October 2019 as the Armadale Devils take on the Berwick Bullets in a National Development League contest.

For the Devils, it's a return to West Lothian for the first time following a 15 year absence after they re-formed last year.

The two sides met last week in Berwick, with the hosts coming out on top, 50-40. The Devils' Gregor Millar was injured in that fixture, but team manager Alan Budzynski says the 17-year-old will be fit to race tonight.

He commented: "Gregor's leg seemed fine on Sunday but he was suffering on Monday so went for a check-up. Now he's back at work and can't wait for Friday night."

Skipper Nathan Greaves, meanwhile, spoke of the desire to win a trophy this year, saying: "I'm grateful to have the captaincy and the number 1 race jacket and the first job is to stay there. I haven't had that much experience in my short career, but I have a little bit more than most in the Devils pits so anyone I can help I will, and hopefully we will have some silverware at the end of the year."

The action gets underway at 7.30pm and is being streamed live. For more information visit www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk.
