Arlene Foster gets Santa letter from lad worried Covid might ruin Christmas

Under pressure First Minister Arlene Foster has faced serious questions over the last eight months.

But today she was asked the toughest of all.

She was required to see into the future and predict the activity of the world’s favourite person.

Young Jacob wrote to ask Mrs Foster if Santa will be permitted to visit Northern Ireland on Christmas Eve

In his best handwriting, he wrote: “Dear First Minister,

“Will Santa be allowed to visit this year?

“Thank you for keeping us safe during Covid.

“From Jacob Ian.”

Mrs Foster responded on social media with some good news.

She said: “Good news for Jacob. I’ve been speaking to Santa. The elves are hard at work. Santa is still coming to Northern Ireland.”
