Arizona State with unconventional pick-six thanks to heads-up lateral

Stanford was coming off its upset of Oregon when it ran into Arizona State in a Pac-12 matchup Friday night.

Things were not going well for the Cardinal and the Sun Devils added to their woes.

Watch as Jack Jones picks off the Stanford pass and cleverly laterals the ball to teammate DeAndre Pierce, who takes off and runs the ball into the end zone from 27 yards out.

The PAT made it 28-10 late in the third quarter and Arizona State taught Stanford a lesson in football smarts.

Pierce comes from football genes. His dad is Antonio Pierce, current Sun Devil co-Defensive Coordinator who was a Super Bowl champ in his NFL career as a New York Giant.
