Arizona Rallies Against Colorado With Walk-Off Field Goal, Handing Buffs Fourth-Straight Loss

No. 21 Arizona pulled out a walk-off win against Colorado on Saturday, drilling a chip-shot field goal as time expired to leave Boulder with a 34–31 victory.

Heading into the game, the Wildcats were 8.5-point favorites, but on the field, the Buffaloes took control first.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders opened up the scoring with a 16-yard touchdown run. After jumping out to their early lead, the Buffs would play all 60 minutes without trailing Arizona, building up a 31–24 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

But the Wildcats rallied when they needed it most, scoring a touchdown to open the fourth quarter, and then hitting a 24-yard field goal as the clock hit zero to win the game.

The loss pushes Colorado to 4–6 on the season, and 1–6 in conference play. The Buffaloes have two games left on the schedule, with road trips to Washington State and No. 18 Utah to close out the year.

Deion Sanders and company will need to win both games in order to reach six wins on the year and become bowl eligible.
