TEAM NEEDS

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Offensive Line

The Cardinals had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL in 2018, as they allowed 3.2 sacks per game. Over the course of the year, the team allowed 52 sacks and 109 quarterback hits, which was fourth-worst in the league. Arizona did sign guards Max Garcia and J.R. Sweezy, but they need to continue to add more talent to protect either Kyler Murray or Josh Rosen.

Wide Receiver

The Cardinals added Kevin White in free agency, but lost J.J. Nelson to the Raiders. Larry Fitzgerald’s tenure with the team is close to an end and the options behind him are slim at the moment. Christian Kirk will continue to see a lot of action, but outside of that, Arizona lacks playmakers for Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.

Defensive Line

Outside of Chandler Jones, the Cardinals lack playmakers up front. Arizona brought in a few veteran pass rushers through free agency in Brooks Reed and Terrell Suggs, but they need a spark to pair with Jones. Addressing the interior part of the defensive line will be atop of the to-do list, too.

Cornerback

The cornerback room is filled with pieces, especially after the addition of Robert Alford. But the Cardinals lack top-tier talent outside of Patrick Peterson.

Tight End

The Cardinals signed Charles Clay earlier on, but the team doesn’t possess a reliable pass-catcher in Kingsbury’s offense.
