Paige Niemann, the social media personality known for impersonating Ariana Grande, has apparently revealed the DM the pop star sent her at the height of her popularity.
ICYMI, Paige is the face of a recent documentary series titled Turning The Paige, which follows her as she “reclaim[s] her identity after going viral as an Ariana Grande lookalike”.
According to viewers, the docuseries includes a scene where Paige recalls the time Ariana personally reached out to her with a message insisting that she is “very beautiful as YOURSELF”.
“I am flattered and I am sure you’re very sweet,” Ariana’s DM reportedly began.
“But I just wanted you to know, I looked back a little ways on your page and I think someone should tell you if they haven’t today that you’re very beautiful as YOURSELF,” she added.
The “thank u, next” singer apparently went on to say that Paige — who has continued impersonating Ariana throughout most of her music eras — is beautiful “without all the make up and trying to make your face look more similar to someone else’s and whatnot”.
“I had to say it because it is the truth,” Ariana wrote. “Always do what makes you happy of course but if I didn’t say that to you, I’d regret it. You’re beautiful as you are. Take care.”

Ariana’s DM is a topic covered in one of the six episodes of Turning The Paige, which was released on Apple TV earlier this year but has more recently landed on Amazon Prime.
The pop star has spoken out about Paige’s impersonation in the past, saying in 2019 that while she was sure the lookalike was a “sweetheart”, she nonetheless found it “bizarre” to have her likeness used by someone else.
The following year, Ariana said that imitators like Paige are “degrading” the “entire value” of her art, prompting Paige to reply that she was “used to Ariana shading me” and that she was “not a fan of her anymore”.
Paige has come under fire in recent years for continuing to impersonate Ariana, particularly whenever she attends red carpets dressed up as the star, and when she launched an OnlyFans cosplaying as the singer in 2022.
