Ariana Grande appeared to throw shade at her ex-fiancé during her show stopping performance at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
The 26-year-old Thank U, Next singer marked the end of her dazzling act yesterday by removing a ring from her engagement finger, putting it back in the box and shaking her head as she gave a smirk.
The crowd then erupted in applause for the exciting medley of songs which included a rendition of Imagine, The Sound of Music’s My Favourite Things, 7 Rings and Thank U, Next.
Viewers were quick to spot the subtle jibe at her former beau, and took to social media to express their shock.
“Did @ArianaGrande just diss Pete Davidson at the end of her performance with that ring box?! #GRAMMYs,” one follower exclaimed.
“Ariana never gave Pete the ring back HAHAHAH,” another joked.

Ariana, who arrived at the Grammys in an enormous grey dress, did a number of costume changes as she wowed the Grammys audience.
She began in an elegant emerald gown before seductively transitioning into a feathery baby pink lingerie and slaying dance moves along with the backing dancers. At one point, she even did the splits as she sang her heart out.
Ariana had been nominated for five Grammy awards this year, including Album of the Year.

As well as referencing her ex-fiancé, the poignant performance also offered a nod to the late Mac Miller who had an ‘Imagine’ tattoo, and is also referenced in several of Ariana’s songs.
Ariana and her former beau Pete, 26, called it quits on their engagement in October 2018 following a whirlwind romance that had even led to tattoo dedications to each other.
The Nickelodeon star ended her five month engagement with the Saturday Night Live comedian shortly after hearing news of ex Mac Miller’s tragic death.

All eyes were also on the performance, after the starlet publicly turned down singing at last year’s Grammys following disagreements with the producers.
According to insiders, last year Grammy organisers had refused to let Ariana perform her song 7 Rings, which had left the star 'insulted'.
Although she didn’t walk away with a single trophy, she certainly used this year’s epic performance to make a point of walking away from her former relationships in style. Thank U, Next.
