Ariana Grande spotted at well-known Crumlin hardware store buying a pinata

Ariana Grande surprised locals after popping into a well-known Crumlin hardware store to buy a popular party accessory.

The “thank u, next” star visited Feighery’s Expert Hardware Store last night to buy a pinata.

Manager Alan Feighery said he first noticed something was out of the blue when he realised there was a “bit of a commotion”.

Alan told Dublin Live: “To be honest, there weren’t many people in the store at the time.

“The floor was kind of closing up, it was 6pm, and I was actually there with a customer at the time.

“I just noticed there was a bit of a commotion, just a bit a few more bodies around in the party section of the shop.

“And I turned to the right and I noticed somebody in a white fur jacket which is kind of unusual for here.

“And an American lady came up to me, an elder lady, and she was asking for the price or something, and I said, “For the pinata? €17.99.” She says, “$70?” And I said, “No no, €17.99.” [she said] “$70?”

"I said, “No, $18”. She had a wad of 50s in her hand and she just paid for that.

“And by that stage there had been a couple of people that had been outside, and they come in, and I think [Ariana] wasn’t having any of that, so she just went running out the door herself.”

The already well-known store has been put on the map for Ariana fans as Alan said he’s already had people come in asking about the star’s visit.

He said: “We’ve already had a few people in this morning asking, “When did she come into the store, what did she buy, etc”.”

In fact, Alan’s daughters, who are Ariana fans, were disappointed they missed on out meeting their favourite singer.

He added: “I’ve three girls myself- two of my girls were at her concert on Sunday. They were incredulous.

“They were just, “No, dad, no way!” My eldest is 24, and she’s watched the video 100 times.

“[My daughters] work here the odd times, and they were very disappointed they weren’t here yesterday evening.”
