Ariana Grande shares brain scan to show 'terrifying' levels of PTSD two years after Manchester Arena bombing

Ariana Grande has revealed brain scan photos showing she is suffering from PTSD two years on from the Manchester Arena attack.

Posting on her Instagram story, the 25-year-old shared a screenshot of three brain scans, one of which was her own.

The first scan showed a 'healthy' brain, while the second showed one of a person suffering from PTSD, with a few highlighted areas indicating stress levels.

The third scan was of her own brain and showed a large portion of PTSD activity.

In the post, she described the scans as 'hilarious and terrifying'.

At the bottom of the photos, she wrote: "Not a joke."

The scans show how much of an impact the bombing, which killed 22 people following her concert, still has on the singer.

It's not the first time the One More Time singer has opened up about the impact of the attack on her mental health.

In an interview with British Vogue in July, she spoke of how she coped with the symptoms of PTSD following the bombing.

“It's hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it's a real thing,” she said.

“I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well.

"Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn't even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn't even say anything. I don't think I'll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”

The US singer will come to Manchester in August to headline Pride.
