Ariana Grande says she’s '60 per cent champagne’ as she admits drinking more than ever before

Ariana Grande has admitted she’s never consumed more alcohol than she has in the past year.

The Breathin singer declared herself “60 per cent champagne” after admitting she has been drinking more than usual following the death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller and her recent split from SNL star Pete Davidson.

She told Billboard: “I don’t think I’ve ever consumed more alcohol than I have in the past month. I am champagne.

“You know how people say we're 60 percent water? I'm 60 percent pink Veuve Clicquot.”

Next: Grande has had a difficult few months

Opening up on hit single Thank U, Next, the 25-year-old singer told how the song helped to heal her “broken heart.”

Grande said: “I love this more than any other song I've ever put out.

“It was me and my besties tipsy off champagne and me with a broken heart just letting it out and having fun.”

The video for the hit song, which pays homage to a string of teen films including Mean Girls, Bring It On, 13 Going on 30 and Legally Blonde, smashed Youtube records.

Many of the films' stars - including Jennifer Coolidge and Jonathan Bennett - made appearances, as did Grande's own celebrity friends.

The video proved a hit, racking up 829,000 views in 24 hours before going on to amass over 88 million hits over the weekend.

The track also broke records of its own, spending its fourth week at number one on the UK charts, the longest time for any female artist in 2018.

Thank U, Next is also still number one on Spotify UK and the Global top 50, with 206 million streams.
