Ariana Grande's gesture of kindness to children stuck in hospital at Christmas

Ariana Grande has been praised by families in Manchester after the songstress brought some festive cheer to children in hospital in the city.

In a touching gesture, the 27-year-old songstress gave £100 vouchers to every child currently staying at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as well as Manchester Royal Infirmary.

She has made the generous donation almost three years after the devastating bombing took place at her concert at the M.E.N Arena.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, a doting parent whose daughter is currently being treated at the hospital spoke about the kind Christmas gesture.

“As I understand it she’s given every child in the hospital a voucher,” a parent called Steve told the publication.

“I went to pick her up and she was so excited. She said ‘look dad, I’ve got a £100 voucher from Ariana Grande."

The doting parent explained that his daughter had been gifted a personalised box but there wasn't any note about who it was from.

Steve added: “It was in a little personalised box with no message on it and no note to say who it’s from. It’s such a lovely gesture and there’s no publicity around it so you know it’s genuine.

"It’s brought a lot of joy after everything that’s gone in with the pandemic this year. It’s been a tough year with my daughter being in hospital. The staff there are great and so hard working,” he told the Manchester Evening News.

Ariana's touching gesture came over three years since a bomb was detonated while people were leaving her concert at the Manchester Arena.

A total of 23 people sadly died as a result and over 800 were injured in the bombing.

Ariana then visited people being treated in hospital following the attack and also threw a One Love benefit concert at Old Trafford.

As well as her touching gesture to children in Manchester, Ariana also has cause to celebrate this festive season after recently announcing that she was engaged.
